| Ocean Art House offers four individually furnished double rooms (king size beds) with en suite bathrooms, each with an evocative name:
- Lost in Art,
- Blue Horizons,
- Zen View and
- Peace of Mind.
The whole house can accommodate 8 persons.
There is a beautiful sea view from each of the rooms and mountain views from two of the bedrooms.
On the premises is the Art Cafe where you can enjoy delicious Illy coffee or some cake.
The house offers two entertainment areas -
Upstairs lounge area where you can feast your eyes on our beautiful ocean, read a book or watch TV.
Downstairs you can either relax playing games or lounge in our beautiful garden area with the mountain right behind you.
Not only is the Ocean Art House a place where you can feast your eyes upon nature’s beauty, but we are also proud to be hosting the Red Corridor - a group of artists with a common direction and a shared view on space and colour.
Far from the hectic bustle, the High Tech civilization and global stress, Agulhas at the southern end of Africa, offers everything one needs to calm and repose. With the quiet mountains behind and the surging ocean before you, all trivial thoughts cease and one can only gaze in wonder at the grandeur of Nature.
Stop off at Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of the African continent. This might well be the highlight of your trip, at the place where the two oceans meet, the cold and the warm. And here OCEAN ART HOUSE welcomes you to spend time in relaxation and recreation.
Your hosts at Ocean Art House are Grant & Sarina van der Westhuizen who grew up in the region and love Cape Agulhas with a passion.
They can arrange any activity that you might be interested in doing: -
boat trips, fishing trips, eating out, walking trails, etc.
Take a walk along Struisbaai’s beautiful 13 km sandy beach, stroll through the romantic fishing harbour or take a trip to the ship wrecks of L’Agulhas. Visit the blue lagoon of Suiderstrand or the nature reserves "De Mond" and "De Hoop" for game viewing and bird watching.
We promise you that visiting the Ocean Art House will be a memorable experience and worth returning to. |
