Surrounded by unspoiled forests, mountain streams and waterfalls, Lone Creek River Lodge offers comfortable and luxurious accommodation in the heart of the Drakensberg Escarpment, easily accessible from all major routes.

Local and international guests have a choice between three types of luxury accommodation, fully-serviced river rooms and suites or self catering timber cottages, all capturing their romantic surroundings. A gothic chapel, conference facility and a restaurant are additional facilities for the convenience of our guests.

In the surrounding areas various exciting activities can be enjoyed such as hiking, fly-fishing, mountain biking, horse riding, white-water rafting, rock climbing, abseiling, day tours to the waterfalls and many more.

From Pretoria or Johannesburg take the N4 towards Witbank and continue past Middelburg to the Belfast turnoff.

If the weather is good turn off into Belfast and continue with the R540 through Dullstroom and Lydenburg, and then with the R37, via the Long Tom Pass, to Sabie.

If it is rainy day with low-hanging cloud-cover or mist, continue with the N4 past Machadodorp and Waterval Boven. Turn left on the R539 (signposted Sabie and Sudwala). Turn off right just before Sudwala Caves and continue with the R539 to the R37 T-junction. Turn left onto the R37 and then right at the next T-junction, 10 km from Sabie.

Drive through the town towards Graskop.

Turn left at 4 way stop – Old Lydenburg Road

Carry on for approximately 2.3 km, cross railway.
