| Intibane Lodge is a new luxury destination, situated in the Valley of the Kings, approximately 15km from Ulundi on the R66. Aware of the privilege to build in an area untouched for centuries, the Lodge and Chalets were built with thoughtful care and research towards nature.
A striking location was carefully picked by the owners and overlooking the Chalets are the neighboring hills of Emakhosini Ophathe Game Reserve. Animals can be observed both on the Game / Cattle Farm, or from the comfort of your verandah. Situated in close proximity to well known Zulu Culture and Heritage Sites, Intibane offers the ideal venue to minimize driving and spend more time observing & experiencing our rich Zulu Culture.
At Intibane Lodge, we have 6 chalets each accommodating 4 people, with each chalet having 2 air conditioned rooms, 1 with a double bed & the other with 2 single beds. The chalets have a bathroom with shower & toilet, and the kitchens are fully equipped, making the chalet feel like a home away from home. Our large verandahs all have built-in braai / barbeque facilities surrounded with breathtaking scenery.
In addition to this, there is a swimming pool overlooking a nearby watering hole, making for some interesting sights! At Intibane we offer you the option of an early morning or late afternoon game walk, so you can enjoy the wildlife, birds & many more enjoyable surprises first hand. Our trails are also mountain bike friendly, and guests should feel free to either bring along their own bikes, or rent the ones we have here.
Only 15km from Intibane Lodge is the fast growing town of Ulundi and a further 35km away is the world famous Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve. There is a well facilitated airport at Ulundi. Next to Intibane Lodge (±5km) is the newly established Ophathe Game Reserve. Intibane is situated in the Valley of the Kings , filled with historical sites such as:
