Houtkapperspoort Holiday Cottages’ 26 charming, fashionable and superbly appointed self catering cottages, which include the Manor House and luxurious suites, are set in spacious, meticulously landscaped grounds, and is perfectly suited to anyone with a passion for nature, fresh air and open spaces.

All our self contained cottages offer tasteful furnishings, TV, DSTV, DVD players, bed linen and towels, pergola covered veranda, barbecue, daily basic cleaning service, fridge, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Cooking facilities include a four plate electric / gas stove with an electric oven and a microwave. Most have air-conditioning and some have fireplaces.

The One and Two Bedroom self catering cottages have either one or two bathrooms, the Three bedroom self catering cottages have either two or three bathrooms, and all four bedrooms in the Manor House have en-suite bathrooms.

The resort accommodation is the highest standard of its type in South Africa - Cape Town, and the tariff offers remarkable value for money.

For your convenience, complimentary tea, coffee and a few amenities are available on arrival in your cottage. Houtkapperspoort is centrally located to all the major tourist attractions and restaurants. There are hiking trails through bordering Cape Peninsula National Park (permit required), or you can walk through Cecelia Forest to the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, which will be a brisk one and a half Hour’s walk. At the V & A Waterfront, which is about 30 minutes drive from Houtkapperspoort, you are spoilt for choice. Helicopter flights, scuba diving, deep sea & inshore fishing, sunset champagne cruises, schooner sailing, coastal cruises and luxury catamaran cruises are but only a few activities on offer. Visitors to the Two Oceans Aquarium will enjoy a fascinating underwater world. The boat to Robben Island leaves the Waterfront a few times during the day, and tickets can be purchased ahead of time.

Transport is essential, and the staff at Houtkapperspoort would gladly assist in arranging the perfect vehicle for you at a good rate. We work closely with a reputable car hire company, who will collect you at the airport and bring you to the premises if required, where your vehicle will be waiting for you.
