Pie is a charming thatched home, situated in
the little Eastern Free State village of Clarens. Our
home is a quiet tribute to solitude and peace, nestling
beside a trickling stream amongst indigenous trees at
the foot of a magnificent sandstone mountain. A variety
of birds with occasional visits from buck, hare, dassie,
baboon and porcupine, make living in the country a truly
special experience. Sumptuous hearty breakfasts are
served in the main dining room of the house.

One is an open-plan bedsitter with fully equipped
kitchenette, digital TV and 3 single beds. Upstairs,
under thatch has a queen sized bed and an old fashioned
bath en-suite as well as tea/coffee making facilities
and TV. The third is a quaint timber cabin on the stream
with kitchenette, queen sized bed . All the rooms have
private entrances.
Sweetie Pie is our
self-catering double storied cottage just down the road
from Cottage Pie, closer to the centre
of the village with good views and just a short stroll
to the bustling centre of the village. Upstairs two
bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two
single beds. A full bath/shower in between. Downstairs
- fold-down double couch with substantial guest loo.
Underfloor heating in lounge. Fully equipped kitchen
with fridge/freezer, microwave, 4 plate gas stove, enclosed
courtyard and enclosed garden. Good mountain views. |
