Cheerio
Trout Fishing & Holiday Resort is situated in the mountains, forests
and streams of Magoebaskloof in the Cheerio Valley, home
of the annual Spring Azalea and Cherry Blossom Fare.
It is a comfortable three and a half hours drive from
Johannesburg on the N1 National highway. Cheerio is an
ideal stop over to the Kruger and other private game
parks and is a comfortable hour and a half drive from
the Phalaborwa gate and two hours from the Orpen gate.
Fully equipped self-catering chalets, accommodating
from 2 to 8 persons, and B&B rondavels are set in
beautiful gardens. There are three trout dams on the
property and river fishing can be arranged with the local
angling association. Other facilities/activities include
a swimming pool, tennis court, put-put, birding, biking,
hiking or just relaxing under a tree on a garden bench.
Other places of interest, which are easily accessible,
are the Ebenezer, Magoebaskloof, Tzaneen and Dap Naude
dams, the Debengeni falls and the Woodbush and Agatha
National forests. A visit to the Modjadjikloof area,
to the home of the Rain Queen, the cycad and tree fern
forests and the Giant Baobab must not be missed. For
golf enthusiasts, the Tzaneen and Polokwane Country Clubs
are within an hours drive.
For the adventurous there are the Wolkberg mountains
and national hiking trails and adventure activities such
as quad biking, kloofing, tubing, abseiling and paintball
are available at our associate in the mountains close
by.
If it's a getaway from the turmoil of a hectic city
life, a stop over to the Kruger Park or countries north
of our boarders, a fishing expedition, or a visit to
the annual cherry bloom and azalea fare, Cheerio Trout
Fishing & Holiday Resort has something for the whole family. |
