| Camdeboo Manor is where you can enjoy luxurious country tranquility just 5 minutes from the centre of town. We aim to provide our guests with comfortable accommodation as well as a sense of being whisked away to an exotic location where luxury and comfort are the norm.
The unique, and unusual, furniture and décor items which form the central motif for our suites were sourced from Zanzibar - carved out of African mahogany, the exotic 4 poster king size beds give the rooms the appearance of a Sultan's private quarters.
Stephen & Liesl created Camdeboo Manor so that you could experience the calmness and serenity of the Karoo countryside to its fullest. From the moment you drive through the gates of this small farm a sense of well-being washes over you and the warm welcome makes you feel as if you belong.
The Area
"Established in 1786, this town was named after the Governor of that time - 'van der Graaf' and his wife -'Reinet'. It was only the fourth district in the Cape to receive a seat of local government or a 'Drostdy'. Known to be a barren and untamed area, it became the outpost of white civilization for trading by the middle of the last century".
Graaff-Reinet's historic standing and beautiful vast landscapes coupled with "Karoo hospitality, matchless architecture, abundant birdlife, game drives, unique town accommodation, family holidays on unforgettable farms, malaria free hunting, hiking, 4x4 trails, paragliding, antique hunting" and numerous other attractions has resulted in Graaff-Reinet being ranked as one of the top small towns to visit in South Africa.
